High-pressure equipment may be an increasingly hazardous. For this reason, the European Parliament and the European Council adopted the EU Directive 2014/68/EU on the requirements for pressure equipment (PED) on 15 May 2014.

The purpose of this directive is to ensure that equipment operating under pressure and in circulation on the territory of the EU meets standards, and is designed and manufactured in such a way that the safety and protection of life and health of people, animals, property, and the environment is guaranteed.

An EC type-examination certificate, valid for 10 years, has been obtained as a result of the undertaken study (according to Module B of Directive 2014/68/EU).
